I am a strong monarchist and have been a member of the Monarchist League of Canada since I was in university. Since 2007, I’ve served as the league’s Dominion Chairman.
Football
I’ve been a Hamilton Tiger-Cat season ticket holder since 1995. CFL football is the one sport I follow on a regular basis. I’ve been to six Grey Cups over the years: 1996 (Hamilton), 1998 (Winnipeg), 2000 (Calgary), 2001 (Montreal), 2012 (Toronto), and 2023 (Hamilton). Check our my canadianfootballhistory.ca site.
Titanic
I’ve always been fascinated with the Titanic. The ship was stunning and the story is one of both tragedy of heroism. Fun fact. I had the opportunity to be an extra in the 1997 Titanic film, but I didn’t have the time (university exams) or money to go to California for the shooting of the movie.
Old School Wrestling
If you knew me as a kid, you’d know that my childhood was dominated by wrestling. I used to love watching the superstars of the WWF on TV on Saturdays back in the 80s. The days of Hulk Hogan, Junkyard Dog, and Andre the Giant were the best.
Old Time Radio
A relatively new interest of mine is old time radio shows from the 1930s, 40s, and 50s.
